Leviticus
25:3-4 Six
years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy
vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; 4 But in the seventh year shall
be a Sabbath of rest unto the land, a Sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt
neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. The
seventh year was to be a year of trusting God for their provision. No
planting or reaping a harvest. No
labor in the vineyards. No
grain for the livestock. This
year of the Sabbath allowed God an opportunity to prove how faithful He could
be to the obedient. It also
taught the Jewish people to place their trust in God's provision rather
than in their own resourcefulness. God virtually guaranteed Israel that He would provide them with a triple
harvest in their sixth year, the year before the Sabbath year! Leviticus
25:20-22 'And
if you say, "What shall we eat in the seventh year, since we shall
not sow nor gather in our produce?" 21
Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will
bring forth produce enough for three years.
22 And you shall sow in the eighth year, and eat old produce until the
ninth year; until its produce comes in, you shall eat of the old harvest.
NKJV God
is transmitting something here that is crucially important to us.
The principle is, God will provide the necessities for those who
trust Him and obey Him. Old Testament Water Manna Meat Shoes
and clothing that didn't wear out. They
were shaded from the desert sun and warmed from the
cold at night. A
hungry prophet was fed by a wild raven. A
barrel of meal and a pot of oil miraculously replenished itself. An
enemy army was frightened into mass retreat leaving behind their
stocks of food and equipment for the starved besieged city
of In the New Testament: Water
turns to wine. Tax
money is provided out of a fish's mouth. 5000
people are fed with 5 loaves and two fishes. After
seven consecutive cycles of Sabbaths for the land, God commanded them to
observe a Sabbath of seven Sabbath years Leviticus
25:8 And thou
shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years;
and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and
nine years. This
50th year was to be called the Year of Jubilee! Leviticus
25:10 And ye
shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the
land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and
ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every
man unto his family. This
50th year of celebration not only allowed the land to rest but cancelled
all previous debts and restored all land back to their original owners.
This
Jubilee liberated every indentured servant and set every captive free. Suddenly,
land that you had lost in the past now belonged back to you.
Debt
that you had incurred in your past was now forgiven and forgotten!
Children
that had been lost to slavery were free to return home. To
sum it up, the year of Jubilee signaled the end of all bondage and
captivity, cancelled all debts and ushered in a new start in life. If
the 1906 Azusa Street Revival was a Triple
Blessing Harvest year of Holy
Ghost Outpouring and Renewal for a year of Jubilee and a Sabbath unto
the Lord; and if 50 years later the mid-1950’s was a Triple
Blessing Harvest year of restoring Miracles
and Healing Ministry for a year of Jubilee and a Sabbath unto the
Lord; then we are right now entering into another 50 year Triple Blessing Harvest season. I
believe the Lord has instructed me that we (and as many people as we can
draft) should unite in prayer and fasting for 21 days beginning September
6th through September 26th. The fast should be one
of our own choosing but a true fast sufficient to afflict the flesh and
consistent with Scripture. The prayer should consist of intercession, deep
spiritual probing and warfare prayer with much worship and praise. Our
prayer should be offered early every day beginning before or by As
we pray, we must repent for the Church and our Nation for the spirit of
defiance, the spirit of deception and the spirit of jezebel which we have
allowed to influence us and rebuke these spirits and their blinding
influence off our people commanding them to “let my people go that they
may worship God” and releasing the glorious light of the gospel to shine
unto them. We
should pray the Word of God. A
few suggestions: Unity John 17:20-21 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them
also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be
one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one
in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. Boldness Eph Miracles Acts Harvest Matt We
need to be in contact sharing insight and direction as the Lord speaks to
