Think On Me And Make
Mention Of Me...

The above words fell from the lips of a very young man, who had been badly treated by both his family and enemies. Joseph was in prison at the time, having just given a man the meaning of his dreams, he now asks him to REMEMBER HIM, THINK ON HIM, AND MAKE MENTION OF HIM. He had been taken from his family and
home site, and had been seemingly forgotten, so he pleads with this man to please THINK ABOUT HIM AND MENTION HIS NAME.
While the story is quite moving, another story has much to do with all of us. The LORD JESUS CHRIST has also asked each of us to REMEMBER HIM, to think about how GOOD He has been to us, setting us free from SATAN AND SIN, forgiving all our trespasses and giving us HIS SPIRIT. Considering all this, how could any of us NOT THINK ABOUT JESUS, NOR MAKE MENTION OF HIM to those we meet each day? Yet it seems that we all, often, get buried in the things of life, get so busy with making a living that we often pass through time and DON’T MAKE MENTION of HIS NAME, nor all the grand things He has done for us…we just FORGET. Jesus has left the telling of HIS STORY with each of us, if we do not take time to MAKE MENTION OF HIM, the world stays lost….
I know that, later in the first story of Joseph, the butler finally did remember and admit his faults, but that was after two full years. May God help all of us to make a concerted effort to MAKE MENTION OF JESUS, TO THINK ABOUT HIM EACH DAY and do all we can to bring HONOR TO HIS NAME. We have been blessed too much, we owe so much to HIS GRACE and yet many of us I fear, DO NOT GIVE JESUS ONE THOUGHT, NOR TRY TO SPEAK ABOUT HIM AT ALL. God has told us that those who made mention of HIM would be put into a BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE AND REWARDED when He would make up HIS JEWELS. May God help each of us to MEDITATE AND MENTION OUR GREAT LORD, for we alone hold the HELP for mankind; NOW THEN, DO IT….
