The Path Ahead Is Full Of Yesterday
By Pastor Jeff Arnold, Gainesville, FL

As the people of Israel, we, too, now stand upon a great place: the end and the beginning together. Like them, we, too, have yet to walk the untrodden path that lies ahead, but like them, we can now look back into yesterday and know that HE who hath called us OUT now calls us ONWARD. The God who has been so good to us, providing supplies, strength, and the direction for our trek, will not leave us to face the future by ourselves.

I feel like Israel of the past, standing on the banks of the Jordan, thrilled with the past and somewhat wondering about the future. They spent 3 days on that bank recalling and consecrating themselves anew, and this should be now done by us. Let us examine ourselves, seeking to be very open and honest with the issues. They were told that God was about to do some WONDERS among them, so they had to get ready for them. THE WONDERS OF TOMORROW ARE TIED TO THE SANCTIFICATION OF TODAY. God is surely calling each of us unto a new surrender and dedication unto HIS WILL for our lives. We need to improve our praying, our giving, and be lifted to a new level of faith that will both honor GOD and defeat the DEVIL.

We must now recall; we are following the ONE who had a life full of PRAYER AND SERVICE. Can we seek to do any less and expect the same results? Our ABILITY, GIFTINGS, TALENTS AND POSITIONS will never be able to really replace TOTAL SUBMISSION and SURRENDER to HIS WILL. Israel did one more thing; they sent THE ARK AHEAD -- not their fears, or worries, or skills. They followed the real LEADER, THE LORD HIMSELF. We are in a better place then they; we have GOD WITHIN our bodies. So as we go ahead HE does the same, so let us go forward in faith
