Delayed
Edition
by Larry Schoonover - Editor
Dear
Subscribers,
Please accept my apologies for this delayed edition. Our
two eldest daughters were both married within two months of
each other and we have been consumed with doing our best for
our girls who have sacrificed much for our ministries and been
dedicated to the task for these many years. It was time
for us to put them first and everything else on the back
burner. We love you Laurin & Caleb, Kaylee &
Nick!

Focus
DC - A Vision In Focus
From the Focus DC Committee
- Order
the promotional DVD here.
There is currently NO UPCI church located within the city limits of Washington, DC. Since DC is our nation’s capital, it should be the responsibility of the entire constituency of the UPCI throughout the United States to assist in its evangelization. No individual UPCI preacher, church, or district can possibly carry this responsibility alone
spiritually, financially, or manpower wise. Washington, DC does not need just one church or one preacher; it needs the concerted and focused effort of an army of believers, storming the gates and bringing down strongholds.
Washington needs Apostolic preachers proclaiming Apostolic truth, demonstrating Apostolic power, declaring and manifesting the name of Jesus to a city, a region, a nation, and ultimately, the world! Brethren, is there not a cause? |
|
|
There is currently NO
UPCI-led revival in the “Jerusalem” of our nation! Was it not God’s plan for revival and harvest of the nation of Israel in the first century to BEGIN in Jerusalem? Why has our “Jerusalem” been left until last? Every Apostolic church at every rural crossroads, in every village and small town, in every city and metropolitan area owes an Apostolic revival to the neglected capital of our nation. Washington, DC is more than a city of 600,000 souls; it is the seat of secular power for the most powerful nation on earth. When is God’s power going to finally be provided the opportunity to truly affect this city and thus our nation? The meeting of this need is not and cannot be the responsibility of one man, one church or one district; it is the responsibility of all believers who truly care about seeing revival in our nation!
FOCUS-DC is the acknowledgment that the Maryland-DC District cannot do this alone. We are appealing to the whole constituency of the UPCI to help us impact our nation’s capital. Please participate, our nation is waiting for the gospel. We cannot spoil the house of the strong man until he is first bound. We cannot defeat him alone, please help us!

Evangelism
Made Visible
by F. Joe Ellis
fjewt@purposeinstitute.com
Let
your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matt 5:16 KJV)
It was said of the early church that they turned their world upside down. (Acts 17:6) Do we really grasp the total scope of that statement? One thing is for certain however, as you read through the book of Acts, as well as other historical accounts of the first century church, it becomes very obvious that they did more than just grow a church numerically.

Howi C. Tiller is the founder of, “The Word Alive Christian Drama Ministries”, an anointed and timely ministry for our generation. For over twenty years he has written, directed, produced and acted in Christian dramas from coast to coast.
During those years he
has also |
| taught and ministered in conferences across the U.S., Canada, the Philippines and Australia. You may have seen some of his dramas at music, drama, or youth conferences. Or maybe at camps or other conventions throughout the U.S. and Canada...ministering to as many as 15,000 people at a time. It is part of our mission to see Christian drama used as an anointed tool for end-time evangelism.

The Great Challenge
By Pastor Jeff Arnold, Gainesville, FL
Life all by itself seems to be quite a challenge -- bills to pay, kids to raise, finding time to accomplish needful duties, seeking to mature in all areas of life and on and the list goes. Yet the great challenge to all of us is not health or wealth, nor social status, it is internal. Many have tried to truly conquer the world but the real issue is SELF. It is truly the TOUGHEST FRONTIER. Since we have been into self so long, any alterations we seek to do, any subtractions we try to make or any additions we must make, usually are met with FEROCITY and AGITATION.
