There is currently NO UPCI church located within the city limits of Washington, DC. Since DC is our nation’s capital, it should be the responsibility of the entire constituency of the UPCI throughout the United States to assist in its evangelization. No individual UPCI preacher, church, or district can possibly carry this responsibility alone spiritually, financially, or manpower wise. Washington, DC does not need just one church or one preacher; it needs the concerted and focused effort of an army of believers, storming the gates and bringing down strongholds.  Washington needs Apostolic preachers proclaiming Apostolic truth, demonstrating Apostolic power, declaring and manifesting the name of Jesus to a city, a region, a nation, and ultimately, the world! Brethren, is there not a cause?

There is currently NO UPCI-led revival in the “Jerusalem” of our nation! Was it not God’s plan for revival and harvest of the nation of Israel in the first century to BEGIN in Jerusalem? Why has our “Jerusalem” been left until last? Every Apostolic church at every rural crossroads, in every village and small town, in every city and metropolitan area owes an Apostolic revival to the neglected capital of our nation. Washington, DC is more than a city of 600,000 souls; it is the seat of secular power for the most powerful nation on earth. When is God’s power going to finally be provided the opportunity to truly affect this city and thus our nation? The meeting of this need is not and cannot be the responsibility of one man, one church or one district; it is the responsibility of all believers who truly care about seeing revival in our nation!

FOCUS-DC is the acknowledgment that the Maryland-DC District cannot do this alone. We are appealing to the whole constituency of the UPCI to help us impact our nation’s capital. Please participate, our nation is waiting for the gospel. We cannot spoil the house of the strong man until he is first bound. We cannot defeat him alone, please help us!  Order the promotional DVD here.

Part One: The Importance of Leadership Development

For the past eight months, Leadership Strategies has focused on Prayer and Evangelism. Over the next few months, we will turn our attention toward Leadership Development. It is our firm conviction that these are the three most important elements to effective apostolic ministry at any level.

The Value Of Good Instruments
By Pastor Jeff Arnold, Gainesville, FL

The carpenter relies upon his tools to be correct for whatever job is being done and also that his saw is sharp and the proper cutting type. No real builder of various items would even think about doing quality work without the best of tools to aid his efforts. Consider what type of music would come to the ear, if the wrong instruments were played for certain parts, or worse, the instruments were out of tune or broken down; guitars missing strings, a drum with a hole in the skin, violins with loose strings, a trumpet clogged, and so on….
